The localization of web sites (or applications) comprises not only the translation of the content (pages, menus, buttons, strips, etc.) but also the fact of making the whole site perfectly operational in the target language. Localization is a skill which must be practiced methodically and with strict attention to detail, and which also requires excellent knowledge of web site technology (tree structures, source code, background data bases, the Javascript, language, etc.) To produce a high quality target site and ensure that the translation is easily understandable by the end user, it is important not to produce just a word-for-word type translation, but rather to adapt each paragraph, button and menu to the standards, requirements and local customs of the target country.
Adelink has the necessary competences and technical resources at its disposition to be able to localize the most sophisticated web sites. When we prepare our price quote, we calculate the redundancies so that we only invoice the number of words which is really translated.
We perform the translation directly in html (or similar) format, without modifying the codes, which enables the webmaster to subsequently implement the foreign-language versions without any supplementary technical operations, apart from any translations that maybe necessary for drawings containing words in the source language. We ensure that all the terminology is coherent everywhere on the website.
If required, Adelink can also simply translate the texts in Word or RTF format, in view of their being reinserted on the site. We can also provide drawings translated into another language, if required.
