A translator must know how to adapt the message to the culture of the target language, clearly, concisely, and in an acceptable style. This is only possible if he or she translates into his or her mother tongue and cultural background.
Technical translation is an activity which requires both linguistic competence and a high level of skill in then field of translation. The meaning and style must be correctly conveyed in the target text and the terminology must correspond to that used by the professional people in the field in question.
Our translators, who only translate into their respective mother tongues, all have extensive experience in this profession.
While the translation is being produced, we build up a glossary of the very technical terms, which we submit to our clients, so that they can validate our suggestions, if they so wish. This glossary is archived, and enables us to use exactly the same terminology for the document being translated and any other subsequent documents covering similar technologies.
Besides which, we provide a follow-up after delivering the translation, if the client decides that this is necessary.
